Why Solar Panels?
The demand for fossil fuels, especially oil and gas, is increasing at an alarming rate. China and India are consuming the resources faster than the rest of the world put together. Just to give you one statistic, in January 2010 China, now the largest consumer of oil products, increased its demand for oil by 28% in a single month.
Oil and gas reserves, which took millions of years to create, are depleting fast. This will push up world prices and will hit the UK particularly hard as we struggle with our public finances and a currency under international pressure.
In the UK, as gas, oil and electricity prices rise because of:
- dwindling North Sea gas & oil supplies
- increased demand from China and India
- reliance of imported gas from the middle east
- unstable gas supplies from Russia
- a fall in the value of the pound
it will not a matter of “if” but “when” you install solar panels to heat your hot water.
Just look down the street where you live or on the roof of the buildings where you are working. How many solar panels do you see? Virtually none! – and yet many houses spend the majority of their electricity on heating hot water. As the cost of electricity doubles over the coming years (not least because our old coal-fired stations come to the end of their life) and fuel costs escalate you will find that you cannot afford NOT to install a solar heating system.
One word of warning; a major component within solar hot water panels is copper. The price of copper is rising as fast, and sometimes faster, than the price of oil. Installing a SolarSave water heating system will certainly prove a faster investment than the rate of return in your bank account. The time to buy and install a solar hot water system is now.
Why choose SolarSave
SolarSave’s glass evacuated tube panels are especially designed for countries like the UK where the amount of sun is variable. The technology of our panels means they continue to work in winter. For example, on a sunny day in winter or early spring when it is -10°c outside we can still heat water.
SolarSave’s 300 litre stainless steel twin-coil hot water cylinder has been especially designed by us to better manage and store hot water.
SolarSave is not just a shop where you can buy products. We have scientists and engineers designing, testing and improving our solar systems every working day of every year. Our building energy management system (BEMS) manages the heat extraction process whilst simultaneously controlling your boiler or other heat source to use the least amount fossil fuels.
