Solar boosts businesses that face big fuel bill rise
Businesses are bracing themselves for a 26 per cent energy bill rise according to the Department of Energy and Climate Change. The estimates came as Energy Secretary Chris Huhne delivered the first annual energy statement to Parliament. He also wants ideas about changing how we use energy. "The era of cheap, abundant energy is over. We must find smart ways of making energy go further, and value it for the costly resource it is, not take it for granted," Mr Huhne said. "We may need to meet a near doubling in demand for electricity.”
A solar glass evacuated tube panel from Solar Save can displace up to 70 of your hot water heating energy requirements from fossil fuels by extracting energy from the sun (depending on the property). You can maximise your fuel bill savings by utilising PC-based Building Energy Management Systems (‘BEMS’) which can save 20% plus off bills by better running your existing heating system. BEMS uses temperature sensors and a heat-loss algorithm to extract the maximum solar energy whilst using the least amount of fuel to keep you warm.
