Firms can boost green credentials with solar absorber providing free hot water heating
The total market for green spending by business will be worth £6.8bn in three years’ time. This new report also says sustainable spending would be better, were it not for weaknesses in the wider economy. Chief executive of report compilers Verdantix, David Metcalfe, told BusinessGreen the report was based on a detailed assessment of large companies' publicly stated sustainability goals, and green projects and trials, as well as in-depth interviews with leading sustainability executives.
Solar Collectors using glass evacuated tubes from SolarSave should be the first port of call for businesses seeking green spending. The solar absorber within the 15-tube Collector absorbs solar energy, converting it into heat for hot water. Just imagine: water heating obtained free of charge – that will boost your firm’s green credentials and improve the balance sheet. As each absorber works independently of other tubes in the same racking system, this means that if a tube is damaged, the other tubes are unaffected and the system still produces solar energy.
